BRNG – Sight Unseen Mix
Here's a 14 track Drum and Bass mix I found hiding on my hard drive. It was recorded live with tracks released in late October and early November of 2010. It's not perfect; the mix has a mashy moment or two and some of the tracks play out a bit long, but I am pleased enough with how it turned out to share it.
Highlights include tracks by Ravager, Total Science featuring Riya and Muffler. Check below for the mix details and a full tracklist, as well as streaming and download links.
BRNG – At Bat with Nat – A Drum and Bass Mix
The first Drum and Bass mix from BRNG was performed by Nathalie, the pretty half of the group. Much like our first Dubstep mix, this was done using only tracks released digitally during the week ending October 25, 2010. In fact, she performed this mix without ever hearing any of the tracks.
All of the tracks in this mix were purchased at JunoDownload. It contains songs from: An Ten Nae, Dose, Fracture, Fracture & Neptune, Mindstorm, Mutated Forms featuring Jenna G, Schematic, SPKTRM and Utah Jazz. A complete track list and mix details follow below.
BRNG – Dubstep Flavour of the Week 001
The premise behind this mix series is that every Monday I purchase tracks that were released digitally over the past seven days to add to my dubstep mix pool from outlets such as Juno Download, Beatport and the UK iTunes store. Then, over the course of the week I attempt a mix with selections made only from that batch of purchases.
Some tracks may have been released on CD or Vinyl earlier, however for the purpose of this mix series I will use digital release dates. On Monday, October 4, 2010 I purchased tracks by: ASC, Charlie P, Enigma, Fuzz2k, iBenji, Magnetic Man and Spikes. Read on for the full tracklist and mix details.
R G B Gets Coloured for Prime Time
Playing their second-ever gig to an intimate crowd at the cozy Rainbow Bistro in the heart of the By Ward Market, Ottawa, R G B surprised some and impressed others with their unique approach to indie rock. Proving the point that music should go beyond its makers’ looks, the band proudly wears their full-bodied anonymity.

R G B poses for the camera after the Rainbow show July 30, 2010, in full primary-coloured spandex pride.
The boys of R G B clearly take life with a smile - though most wouldn’t necessarily know it - covered from head to toe in skin-tight red, green and blue spandex. Starting the night, the band walked in with modest shame, as the crowd took a moment to take in the suits’ full effect.
