2015 Ottawa Craft Beer Festival Preview and Ticket Giveaway

Boasting a new venue, over 150 beverages from around 40 breweries and cideries from Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and the USA, the 2015 Ottawa Craft Beer Festival will take place August 28-30 in the Aberdeen Pavilion at the newly reinvigorated Lansdowne Park complex.

Boasting a new venue, over 150 beverages from around 40 breweries and cideries from Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and the USA, the 2015 Ottawa Craft Beer Festival will take place August 28-30 in the Aberdeen Pavilion at the newly reinvigorated Lansdowne Park complex. Presented by Knowledgeable Consumption, organizers are expecting between 8000 and 10000 visitors over the weekend that also features Craft Beer Market Brewmaster Seminars, the announcement of the winners of the National Capital Homebrew Competition and the 1st Annual Ottawa Craft Beer Run, a 5k run / walk that starts and ends at Aberdeen Pavilion and includes a number of perks with registration such as a soccer ticket and, of course, a free beer. There will be a number of food options available, including festival veterans Urban Cowboy, as well as local wine and European beer offerings. For those coming from out of town, a Hotel Festival Package is available until August 24th in conjunction with the Lord Elgin Hotel. If you’d like to explore Ottawa’s thriving craft beer scene a bit before the festival, the fine folks at Brew Donkey are running a tour that concludes at the festival and includes a one day pass. Because parking at Lansdowne, organizers have partnered with OC Transpo to provide free bus transportation with your festival pass and are encouraging safe travel to and from the event. Free rides will be offered for 3 hours before and after the festival and a special shuttle service should help to alleviate congestion.
